3rd November 2010 There is no Thursday class tomorrow 4th Novemer, but we will be back on 11th Novenber. Tom was 11th and I was 17th in the BMF 5k on 23rd October in Redhill. We have our sights set on the Santa Dash 5k at The Lookout Centre, Bracknell Forest on 28th November at 11.00h - closing date is 13th November via the Thames Hospicecare website. The cost is £15.00 including the Santa outfit. 3rd October 2010 Just finished kettlebell training at Soho Gyms in Waterloo. Training for the BMF 5k on 23rd October is going well - weight down to 89kg now and running 5k on the flat without ankle problems after December sprain (remember the class on crutches?). Target is 85kg to make the swim in the swamp easier. Good to see a lot of new faces on Thursday nights ... warming up for the outdoor Sunday Bootcamp starting 14th November at Lock's Ride Playing Field, Forest Road RG42 7NR. 2nd September Bootcamp Back at full tilt with gliding disc warm-up, TRX suspension training circuit, Tabata intervals (20s exercise, 10s rest x 8 exercises, repeated twice), the usual circuit station favourites and a big TRX finish for the core - excellent work by all Campers. Tom and I are taking part in the British Military Fitness 5k run on Saturday 23rd October at 10.00hrs in Redhill. Described as mud, water, fun and 5k and a good laugh. If anyone is interested it costs £21.00 and registration is via www.britmilfit.com/events . I have my first Level 3 Personal Trainer exam on 4th September. In addition to Thursdays indoors, BOOTCAMPASCOT.CO.UK goes OUTDOORS on Sundays from 14th November 2010 at Lock's Ride Playing Field, Winkfield Row RG42 7NR between 08.00 - 09.00h. It's a green, clean and well-drained, dog-free zone. 15th July BOOTCAMP With the Gym Instructor exam over, it's time for 'BEACH CAMP' - extra weightloss and abdominal focus than usual, with T-bow, trampette, Indoboard, sledge hammer and kettlebell stations reintroduced. More Blacknest Gate runners expected this week. Cross-training improves global fitness, combats exercise boredom and reduces the risk of injury in one's favoured sport. New workout, the best dance music, new Level 2 Gym Instructor edge .... I have just enrolled on Level 3 Personal Trainer course with Fitness Industry Education. Thanks to Tom for being a patient client in the exam on 10th July, and to personal trainers John Pye at Fitness Space in Ascot, John Stafford at Bracknell Leisure Centre and Nadia Paul at Virgin Active in Staines for all your help with my exam preparation. |
